Groovy Link of the Month: Lines and Colors

A bit belatedly, I’ve put up the Groovy Link of the Month. This month features the art and illustration blog run by web designer Charley Parker, Lines and Colors.

This blog features a link to a different artist’s or illustrator’s site nearly every day, plus a short and informative article about the artist. Parker is very diligent in his research and turns up some highly skilled artists. Not all the artists he highlights are contemporary, either. He also writes about, and links to, sites dedicated to various historical artists and illustrators, most of them “off the beaten path” of your college art history book. Finally, Parker has quite a few posts about effective web design for artists, including a hilarious series on how to design your art website in order to TURN AWAY as many buyers/commissioners as possible.

Enjoy!
