Take a look and see if a crawl is already arranged in a convenient location for you. Or just grab your sketchbook and pencil and head out the door to explore your neighborhood.

Full Moon over Rio de Janeiro

Last week, DH and I watched the rise of the fullest moon of the year, the “wolf” moon. While DH photographed, I sketched quickly in the dark.

I’ll be away from the blog these next two weeks. I might try to post remotely, but don’t hold your breath! :-)

Our apartment building overlooks the Jardim Pernambuco condominio, an extremely pleasant gated community in the Alto Leblon neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. I made a quick watercolor sketch yesterday of one of the nearby houses. I was attracted by the compositional blocks of red, green and cyan blue.
